Durham Student Theatre presents the Durham Arts Festival Fringe.
Highlights include a production of Ben Johnson’s seminal Volpone,
a
comedy parable about the dangers of greed, lust and corruption;
a stunning re-interpretation of Shakespeare’s The
Tempest
with
an original score and beautiful visuals in the outstanding setting
of Durham Castle’s Fellows Garden; the fun of Cole Porter’s classic
musical
Kiss
Me Kate;
sketch comedy from renowned groups such as WitTank and The Durham
Revue (both repeatedly awarded at the Edinburgh Fringe) and exciting
new productions from established student directors.
The
Fringe is a chance to see the outstanding talent on offer in Durham
and will be an exhibition of the very best that the University’s
theatre companies have to offer. Join Durham Student Theatre and
watch some outstanding theatre this summer.
